Goda Venkateswara Sastry
Goda Venkateswara Sastry was a post graduate in Mathematics and a doctorate in Advaita Vedanta from the Rashtriya Samskrita Samsthan. He was a Kramanta-Svadhyayi in Rg Veda and studied the six angas of Vedas.
Apart from the above he had undergone the study of darsanas – Nyaya, Yoga, Purva Mimamsa and Advaita Vedanta. He had studied Veda Bhasyas of Rg Veda and YajurVeda. He had a firm grounding in the Samskrita sahitya and also had four Siromanis to his credit.
He taught Vedas, Veda Bhasyas and Sastras to various disciples at various places in Chennai like Sankara Gurukulam, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Sankara Vihar and guided many persons for, Ph.D. courses in various Universities. He had authored many books in Vedanta and other allied sastras a list of which is also appended. He retired as an officer from the Reserve Bank of India.
SRIVIDYA
Apart from the Vedas and Sastras, Dr. Goda Venkateswara Sastry was a Devi Upasaka. He had the Purna Diksha from Br. Injikkollai Jagadeeswara Sastry, a doyen in Sri Vidya. He had given diksha to many disciples and guided them. Many books in Sri Vidya written by him have been published. Sri Sastrigal was conducting śāstra-sabha and Caṇdī-homa during the dīkṣā-parva of his Guru.

Ardent devi upasaka with Purna Diksha. He is well versed in Srividya texts and has given multiple lectures in this regard. He has also given Srividya Diksha to many disciples. Has performed many Navaavarna poojas and does Chandi Homam every year on his Guru Jayanti
